Our last Florida Fauna post, wherein we show you cats that we met. Or almost met.
One of us was very disappointed.
Some like the cool sand…
… some like to hang high.
Aya prepared many gifts for the cats in Hemingway House.
Aya’s catnip mousies were well-received.
Not always shared.
Some mousies were stolen away.
Some mousies were devoured in plain sight. That is EH’s bed.
This little devil followed up and down the (his) beach.
A towel blew down…
… and was covered in cats.
On the blue cobblestones of Old San Juan.
Another new friend.
Aya draws a crowd.
Sometimes it’s “pinch or get pinched”.
Wish we had seen a live one of these.
Wish we had eaten a live one of these.
Grumpy and aggressive, they guard their muddy caves.
Souvenirs of battles litter the forest floor.
Down at the beach, Aya received a nasty pinch.
Revenge is a dish best served with Cava.
Or in a toasted brioche roll.
Can’t believe we don’t have a photo of the pinchos we ate in Culebra. This is the perfect post for them!*
*Edit: found pics of the pinchos:
The street-side pinchos-maker.
Delicious grilled chicken (not crab).
Continuing with our Florida Fauna posts, here are the things we saw lurking in and around the water.
